REFLECTION: 12th Week

Week 12... Means i have written eleven reflections for eleven entries before. Marvellous. This the 12th. I have talked about photo editing last week. Yeah about the task (that have been rejected. Shhh...dun tell anyone. Hahaha. I've came out with the new one, u know. Didn't know whether it's better or worse. Huhu...)

Now, let's talk about the task for module 2. What was it? Oh, the e-book thing, it's the pair work. Have changed my partner, this time I paired with Yusof. Pn. Foziah showed the sample of e-book done by her students. Simple yet interesting. But, of course Pn. Foziah expected more from us. (We're dead if we do as simple as what have been shown. Definitely will be asked to redo if we produce that kind of things. We're always expected to produce extraordinary work becuase we have learnt lots of things like picture and audio editing. Must apply it in doing other tasks).

Pn.Foziah reminded us to chose good quality pictures, with colourful and attractive graphics. Next, to insert the navigation keys, sound. Our e-book needs to also have a theme, characterization and plot. OK. Then, Pn Foziah gave 2 sets of module which is the continuation of module 2. These two sets are continuation of module 2 using the adobe photoshop CS3 software. Wow, continuation.So, this module surely would be thicker than module one after we combine the whole things. NICE... haha. Never mind. The important thing is that we will learn something new from these tutorials.

Now, moved on to the next event. What was it? The presentation of some videos. They were actually the examples or samples of video editing. We're to do our own video editing after this. So, that's the reason why she'd shown us the video. The videos are really wonderful and it gives a basic idea to me on how video editing works and its product. We're to choose a theme for our video editing. It's also the pair work. Hope we'll produce a wonderful and meaningful video as being shown by Pn. Foziah.

REFLECTION: 11th Week

Now, we're on week 11. Many things have been learnt. From nothing to something. Yes, at least i knew what i know.

Print screen, intenernet skills, audio editing, photo editing...

Talking about photo editing, this was what we're looking at today. Pn. Foziah walking around and checked everyone's work that she has assigned before. The task was to edit a picture using any of those softwate being introduced like Photoshop, Photoscape, Triscape FXfoto etc. Work done, so didn't need to be worry. But still have to be worry because if she didn't approve the picture we edited, have to do it again. HUHU...Quite nervous to let her saw my work. I've done the editing using Photoscape. I used the picture of a fairytale character in doing the task.

It's my turn... What did she say? Sobsobsob. D.I.S.S.A.P.O.I.N.T.E.D - S.A.D.

What did she say?? She said, "Have the technology, but no story." Gulp!! Just that, nothing more. Then, she just walking away to see others'. hmmm...So, i've got no choice, have to do it again. Find another picture, and needed to think of what and how to edit it to make a meaningful changes. Mean, there must be a story or message lay behind the edited picture. It's easy to edit the picture, just crop here crop there, change the brightness, put some effects or background, added text and many other things can be done. But, the most important was the MESSAGE or the STORY. Even if you did huge changes to the picture which you took more than hours to come with it, it's no use if there's no MESSAGE or STORY to be told. So, remember, don't edit blindly, have something to tell people about the picture...

REFLECTION: 10th Week

Tenth week... TASKS. TASKS. As we have completed the third module, so we were

given the tasks for audio editing. There were three tasks:

1) Choose a song, cut particular part to make a ringtone

2) Blend 2 songs

3) Improve the quality of a song "Dua Insan Bercinta"

Those were the tasks. For the first task, I have chosen a song by Maher Zain; Awaken.

To edit this song, i like to use audacity because we can add some effects. After the song

being cut and left with desired part, i added the effect fade in to the early part and fade

out to the ending.

For the second task which was blend two songs together, i have chosen the song entitled

"FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE" & "HOLD MY HANDS", both were the songs by Maher

Zain as well. I found it quite difficult to mix the songs because of the tempo. It took quite

a long time to get a good result.

For the third task, we were to edit the song of "Dua Insan Bercinta". As it's the live

version, there were the sounds of clapping, cheering and shouting. So, we

need to make the quality of the song better by reducing the noise and adding some

effects.
